A mechanic?s advice: "on the search for lost time"
 

Situation: Saturday morning, 11:15 at cambio - location ?Flora?. Customer Henry Smith opens the locker. Had reserved ?Flora F3?. His car is not there: annoyance. Substitute reservation on Flora J2. Still more annoyance. Henry Smith does not like Opel Corsas. Analysis of the situation:
1. Saturday morning, 9:31 at location ?Flora?: Customer Lilly West reserved ?Flora F2?, and joyfully drives with her son Fred with ?Flora F4? to go shopping (it?s Fred?s fourth birthday today).
2. Saturday morning, 10:10 at location ?Flora?: Customer Danny Vineyard, reserved ?Flora F4?, but ?Flora F4? is missing. As Danny usually takes ?Flora F3?, he rapidly concludes to be mistaken. (The note with the reserving dates was left behind in his office). In good faith he uses ?Flora F3?.
3. Saturday morning, 11:30 at location ?Flora?: The emergency technician Tom Troubleshooter reads out the locker-data and goes to the office. After approx. one hour of creative work all customer?s reservations are transferred to the used cars. (Also annoyance).

Then the emergency mobile phone rings again. A customer cannot find ?Maas F11?. The following scenario is imaginable: someone took F11 instead of F1 or someone mistook F11 with J11 or someone used F11 instead of J1 and is now driving a Ka with a CD Player instead of a Corsa with winter tyres, but actually wanted to visit his mother-in-law with a different 5-door-car, which was announced to be late but then however was back in time, and...

The mechanic?s advice: Please always write down the date, the reservation time and the reserved car. Through the introduction of the reservation-check and the corresponding on-board computer, all customers will shortly be protected against misunderstandings. However, this also means that the locker will only open from the precise start of your reservation time and will only activate the correct car-key, which it displays with a flashing green diode. By this, also the technician has more security, for example to rapidly replace a brake light bulb between two customer reservations, even if he can only do it at the last minute.
